Use triangle block to find focus (inclined wooden board also can replace it )
a) Place a wooden board on the workbench, and then place the cushion block on the flat plate to form a triangular structure with cardboard. As shown below.
b) Remove the nozzle, adjust the focusing nut to the lowest position of the focus, move the Z-axis and adjust the height of the Z-axis, and the descending height can not interfere with the triangle block.
c) Enter and execute the focus finding program. At this time, the height of the Z-axis will not change and the Y-axis will be moved. The output laser will have traces of melting on the triangle block, and the minimum melting point is the focus of the laser, as shown in the figure below:
d) Install the nozzle and move the Y-axis to make the center of the cutting nozzle above the find focus position. Assist can use red light, Adjust focus adjustment nut to make the cutting nozzle close to the board surface by manual. So the position shown on the scale of the cutting head is the position of zero focus should keep in mind. As shown below:
e) Principle of focus setting: The distance of the cutting nozzle above the surface of the cutting workpiece is A, which is called the nozzle cutting height or punching height. Definition of focus position: the distance from the focus to the upper surface of the cutting workpiece, as shown in the figure below, B is the focus height, the focus position on the surface is generally called the positive focus, and the focus position below the surface is generally called the negative focus.
